Founding Vision & Mission Statement
The firm was founded by its Managing Partners, Jeffrey Rosenthal and Stephen Lister. Their vision for Imperial Capital was based on proven principles and strategies, which at their core, include: the proactive application of research-based targeting of industries with better economic characteristics; the selection and acquisition of leading companies within those sectors; the development of strong working partnerships with successful senior executives experienced in the targeted niches (CEO Partners); and extensive due diligence to create an executable plan to add value.
This process has enabled us to acquire companies that are suitable platforms for growth and consolidation within their respective industries. Our strategy primarily focuses on family and entrepreneurially owned businesses, generally facing succession, estate planning, or stage of growth transitions. The Investment Team works closely with portfolio company management to jointly build compelling visions and actionable strategic plans, while applying best practices. This process has helped to enhance the growth and profitability of our portfolio businesses.
