History
Imperial Capital was founded by two entrepreneurs in the late 1980s as a financial advisory firm and raised its first buyout fund in 1991-92. Their backgrounds led them to focus, from the beginning, on ways to add value to investee companies. Accordingly, the firm is entrepreneurial and its principles are rooted in helping companies structure, finance and develop compelling plans to grow their businesses. In building Imperial Capital, the Managing Partners have navigated a similar path as many of the owners and entrepreneurs of the companies in which Imperial Capital has invested. Accordingly, there is a great degree of empathy for business owners who have gone through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
