Robert J. Bradshaw
Robert Bradshaw is Chairman of Contor Industries Limited, formed in 1984 to acquire mature
manufacturing entities requiring significant turn-around activities. Contor has acquired 28 different
business entities with sales ranging from $4 million to $450 million, for total sales of US$1.6 billion from manufacturing facilities located in 12 countries and with over 24,000 employees. Sectors served by Contor include aerospace, automotive, defense, electronics, engineering services, food processing, machine tooling, mining, nuclear energy, oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation.
After graduating from College Militaire Royal in St. Jean, Québec, in 1967, Mr. Bradshaw received his BEng from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1969. From 1969 to 1972 he was a fighter pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Mr. Bradshaw was Director of Procurement for the Canadian federal government. He was responsible for federal government acquisitions over $500 million.
Mr. Bradshaw is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of various public companies, including Configuresoft Inc., and Stantec. Mr. Bradshaw is a member of The Carnegie Club, the Chief Executives Organization, and the Edmonton Petroleum Club and The World Presidents’ Organization and Young Presidents’ Organization, among others.
Mr. Bradshaw has received The Queen’s Jubilee Medal for government service.
