Stephen Lister, MBA

Stephen Lister is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Imperial Capital. Mr. Lister was integrally involved in the formation of Imperial Capital Acquisition Funds I, II and III. He has led or co-led the acquisition and stewardship of many of Imperial Capital’s portfolio companies.

From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Lister was President of Startups Inc., a company he founded to provide equity financing and consulting assistance to high growth, early-stage companies. In 1987, he was an Associate with Harrison Associates, a Toronto consulting firm, and from 1985 to 1987, he was a Management Consultant with the Financial & Special Services and General Management Services Groups of Touche Ross & Partners in Toronto.

From 1982 to 1984, he was an economist with the Federal House of Commons, where he wrote economic policy papers and research reports for members of Parliament.

Mr. Lister received an Honours BA in Economics from the University of Toronto in 1982 and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1985.

He is a Director of Lise Watier Cosmetiques Inc. and a past Director of Associated Freezers Corporation, YPTel Corporation, E.D. Smith & Sons, Limited and Stantec Inc.
