Creative Liquidity Events
A critical component of our Six-Step Investment Process is the selection of a value maximizing liquidity event that is appropriate for the company and its future growth prospects. We have completed liquidity events through creatively structuring IPO’s (e.g. income trusts, instalment receipts, etc.) and mergers with other public companies (see PCP Case Study).
We believe that assessing multiple liquidity alternatives for our portfolio companies is a strategy that significantly enhances returns to our stakeholders. In many cases, we have provided Investors in our prior funds with the option of maintaining their investment in portfolio companies following a liquidity event by enabling them to hold public company securities.
