Industry Focus
We focus on, and specialize, in a select group of industries such as Food, Business Services, Branded Consumer Products and Services and Healthcare. Within subsectors of those industries, we partner with experienced CEOs, who bring a wealth of insight and industry specific knowledge to supplement our expertise. These CEO Partners act as advisors and catalysts and assist us in identifying attractive, value-creating opportunities for our investors.
Investment Team members are responsible for conducting “deep dives” in targeted industries. This process includes:
Researching the industry, including economic characteristics, fragmentation, trends, threats, and opportunities;
Building a “Value Map” of precedent public and private transactions and the evolution of public market valuations;
Participating in industry associations, conferences, tradeshows, and reviewing trade publications; and
Networking with senior executives and business owners in the industry.
The Investment Team has many years of experience investing in Family and Entrepreneurially Owned Enterprises as well as functional expertise in strategic planning, financing, operations, marketing and sales. This knowledge base provides a strategic edge in identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities in portfolio companies. Our experienced Investment Advisory Committee provides valuable insight on all transactions. Members of this committee, our Chairman’s Council and other fund investors bring a wealth of executive and investment expertise in a wide range of industries, both domestically and internationally.
